Best Face Masks: Skincare 101
Best Face Masks
REVIVA LABS // NON-CHEMICAL LIGHT SKIN PEEL // $20 – This is hands down one of my favorite face masks and I have actually reviewed the non-chemical light skin peel before. I have since used it a number of times and love what it does for my skin. Any skin type, any age, can benefit from a once-a-week “Peel”. This “peel” gently lifts off more hardened, dried skin cells then any other exfoliating product. You’re left with beautifully glowing skin!FREEMAN // FACIAL POLISH MASK // $3.99 – I was immediately intrigued by this mask because of the color. I have started to see a lot of higher end brands come out with the charcoal masks all claiming to be the best face masks out there and I’m just not willing to shell out that kind of money for something I’ve never tried so I figured the best bet was this one from Freeman! First, naturally purifying Activated Charcoal helps absorb oil and impurities without over-drying. Then, Black Sugar helps exfoliate away dulling skin cells for softness and clarity. Perfect for all skin types.
FREEMAN // PEEL-OFF MASK // $3.99 – There obviously could not be a best face masks list without a cucumber one because I think this is the most common type of mask you will see people using even if they’ve made one themselves. This mask is a super-cooling, skin-quenching mask by Freeman that gently peels away impurities that can cause skin to be rough and dull. Perfect for all skin types!
GRAND CENT BEAUTY // S.M.A.R.T. SKIN PERFECTING MASK // $75 – Sticker shock, right? I know we’re getting into a bit of a crazy high price here but this mask is pretty original and in my mind totally worth the price! A 15-minute peel off treatment that smoothes, moisturizes, reduces the appearance of aging, calms redness and tones. It’s perfect for all skin types! What does the S.M.A.R.T. in this masks name stand for? Its benefits: Smoothes, Moisturizes Anti-Aging, Redness-Reducing, Toning. While nourishing seaweed extracts make skin feel softer and visibly smoother, its vitamin-infused, exclusive water-activated formula provides immediate skin hydration and up to 24-hour moisture retention.
MICHAEL TODD // PUMPKIN NUTRIENT RICH FACIAL-MASK // $29 – I just recently started using this one as I received it in a beauty subscription box and I am loving it. It smells a bit strange and kind of feels like you’re globbing baby food onto your face but if textures of that sort don’t bother you then you’re good to go. This is a really great moisturizing mask! It’s not recommended for use on sensitive skin.
AHAVA // PURIFYING MUD MASK // $31 – You knew this would make the best face masks list! I have a huge love affair with all things Ahava. Something about the scents just does it for me! This mask is glorious powered by energizing Dead Sea mud and the Osmoter, this invigorating Purifying Mud Mask by Ahava penetrates deeply to draw out impurities and purifies skin for a more even complexion. Perfect for all skin types.
SKINNYGIRL // DETOX FACE MASK // $15 – That link will take you to a cute little set at Walgreens with a lip shine and facial scrub included as well! I’ve seen this mask on it’s own at Walmart though for around $7. I love it. Admittedly I only picked it up because it’s a Skinnygirl product and I love me some Bethenny Frankel and I have expected it not to work but it truly does. Removes toxins, while white clay smoothes out skin and absorbs excess oil. Perfect for all skin types.
