At my core, I’m a drugstore diva. I love my Sunday ritual of hopping from Rite Aid to ULTA to CVS to Walgreens and finally the beauty section of Bed, Bath and Beyond, searching out the latest and greatest in the world of mass beauty. I partially blame Nouveau Cheap for posting deals and the latest collections. Knowing there’s a sale gets my blood moving.
So, when the Top 10 Tuesday gang decided to tackle Drugstore Beauty, I was all in! Keep reading to see my latest finds.
Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace Travel Razor ($9.99, Drugstore.com) – I have probably tried every variation of the Venus razor, they’re all I’ve used for the past few years, and I love that there is a travel version now. Shoving a full size razor into a 3-1-1 bag can be a pain so this is the perfect solution and I get the same close shave as the original.
Vaseline Spray & Go Aloe Fresh ($7.79, Drugstore.com) – I’ll admit it. The commercial sucked me in. My usual moisturizer is just too heavy for summer, my legs end up feeling greasy, so I decided to give this a try. It’s perfect for humid weather with one caveat. I have to apply standing on a bath mat to avoid taking a tumble on our tile floor.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Smooth Deep Moisturizing Conditioner ($5.99, Drugstore.com) – I’m always up for a new hair product adventure and I loved Aussie, and its signature grape scent, as a teen. This deep conditioner is pretty silicone heavy, which is perfect for my thick, coarse, frizzy hair type so I’m digging this budget hair solution, even if it doesn’t smell like grapes.
Olay Fresh Effects Acne Control Face Wash ($, Drugstore.com) – I’m not very loyal when it comes to face wash so I’m always trying something new. In the summer I tend to have more breakouts so when I spotted this on sale, I figured it was worth a shot. It definitely was. I love the scent and that it doesn’t make my skin feel stripped, even though it does a thorough job of cleaning off the extra oils from the summer heat.
Milani Color Statement Nail Polish ($3.99, MilaniCosmetics.com) – You may or may not have heard that Milani is phasing out their multiple polish lines for Color Statement. While the initial offering of shades isn’t the most diverse, it’s just the beginning. And I really like the flat brush, smooth formula and pigmentation. Full review is coming.
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm ($8.99, Drugstore.com) – I love a tinted balm, especially in crayon version. I picked this up in Vivacious, a cool berry red and it’s the perfect pick-me-up when I’m running errands with no makeup and want a bit of color on my face.
L’Oreal Paris Magic BB Anti-Redness ($7.99, Drugstore.com) – You guys, this is seriously my favorite thing right now. I haven’t been diagnosed but I probably have a mild form of rosacea so I’m constantly battling redness. However, I don’t want to wear heavy makeup all the time. This is the DREAM! This green-based BB calms the redness on my cheeks immediately and adjusts to a skin-matching tone. I even took this to my last eyebrow appointment to camouflage the dreaded flaming brows and my waxer was so impressed.
Maybelline The Nudes Palette ($8.99, Drugstore.com) – You know how I love my Urban Decay Naked palettes so when I spotted this drugstore take on it, I had to take the plunge. I appreciate that the shades are broken up into coordinating quads and even though not every color gives the best color payoff, the ones I keep reaching for are great.
