Everything You Need to Know About Hair Brushes

 When it comes to hairbrushes, we have to admit — we don’t always give them the proper attention they deserve (that neon green plastic comb from middle school? Yeah, that’s still in rotation). But the truth is that investing in the right brushes is just as important as investing in the right hair products. Not only can the right brush transform your look, but it can also cut down your styling time and help your hair grow longer and stronger. It’s finally time to ditch that neon green comb and give your hair the brush it needs and deserves. We’ll tell you all you need to know to brush up on your hair-brush knowledge!


Round Nylon Paddle Brush. These brushes are the BB Creams of hair brushes. They are most commonly used for detangling hair, but they can also add volume and help you with a perfectly smooth blowout. Parting or “Rat Tail” Comb. The head can be used for styling, while the pointed handle is perfect for parting hair and increasing volume in teased hair by sliding the thin end under the teased crown and lightly pulling upward.
